Our Garden & Kimmie's preschool Sunflower

Our garden after Disneyland. It is flourishing along with Kimmie's preschool sunflower....until someone came and ripped it off. We've had 3 incidents now where someone is ripping up our flowers whole out of the ground and leaving them in our yard. :(

The Maple Tree we planted with 3 fire bushes and lots of tomatoes, squash, cucumber, zucchini, crook neck and watermelon plants.

Work mis-hap

Lane went into a business to fix a copier and came out to find someone had busted our truck window and took a $5 telephone. Seeing the surveillance didn't help give clues to who did it.

July 3, 2009 Mini-Mission Reunion

From left to right: Julia (Muir) Callahan, Lindsay (Emmett) Shields, Angela (Hayes) Lewis, Tammy (Weaver) Peterson, Amber (Gubler) Melum

I only served with Sister Hayes. Elder Melum married Amber.

Here we were told to "suck it in".

We all served in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission. I was out during July 1998-Jan. 2000. Sister Emmett came home with me. We are the younger two.

July 12, 2009 New Suit, Old news, New news

A reminder to me to not leave him alone too long. Apple sauce must taste better through osmosis.
He's actually ready to sneeze here...

On July 12th (my birthday) our bishopric in our ward was changed. Lane is the new 1st Counselor with Bishop Mark Romrell and Stephen Bingham. He got a new suit and shirts and I got him some new ties and socks. Doesn't he look great!

Flash Back

These pictures were taken the end of April 2006 of Kimmie in our front yard enjoying what she still loves now. I just love these pictures of her.

Our beautiful flowers continue to keep Kimmie excited picking them, talking about them, smelling them, cars drive by more slowly now and Grandma and Grandpa came to visit just to see them. Here they are after the nice rain we got today!

I planted 2 crabapple trees last week. Lane will stake them up.

...if only the dirt could stay this weed-free :0)

Out by the mail box

I also love today because it is my 11-year anniversary since I first went through the Temple to receive my endowments. May 2, 1998 on a Saturday also I went through the Bountiful Temple.

Lane's Family

This is Fred Revis. This is our kids' Great-Grandpa on Lane's side. It is Lane's Mother's Father.

This is Ruby (Nance) Revis. It is Lane's Grandma. Fred and Ruby Revis just celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary April 1, 2009. Congratulations!! That is quite an accomplishment. (This picture was taken a few years ago.)

Fred and Ruby had 2 daughters. Lane's mom is the oldest, Dianna Ruth Revis Callahan. She married Dale Raymond Callahan January 20, 1973. Dianna's sister is Susie Sims.

This is Dale when he was younger. At the moment I do not have pictures of Dale's parents. But I met his mother a few years ago. She was in a rest home and all I remember is she smiled the whole time and said, about Lane, to Dale, "Looks just like you, except for the glasses." I think she died in September of 2004. Dale's Father died when Dale was around 21-years old. So Lane never met his Grandpa. Dale has 2 siblings. Sue and Anna. I've never met either one.

This picture below is Lane as a little boy. It looks a lot like Jacob.
Here is Lane and his sister Danette. So cute!

EASTER is Springing

'Tis the season to begin outdoor activities as weather permits. Laundry on the line, outdoor play and yard work. The little things are the big things. I know someday I will miss the mundane, so I enjoy it as I go, especially laundry. Don't you just adore these boots?
I LOVE SPRING!!
The yard has finally exploded, and still more to come (tulips)....

The yard mowed, hoses out, the fertilizer from last year starting to kick in, what more could I ask? And it's rained enough up until now we haven't had to turn the sprinkler's on yet. It is beginning to get dry though. Kimmie has picked several flowers for me and they collect in a vase in our kitchen. Today I picked a grape hyacinth and told Kimmie what it was and she said, "A grape hi-a-stink?"
The yard as of today.... Tuesday, April 21, 2009.

It was/is Beautiful today!

I can't wait until all of the tulips come out also.
Pics of our neice, Evelyn. 8 Months old already!

Look at that hair!
Olivia finding eggs at my mom's house.
It was too rainy to be outside.
Kimmie (clown) Olivia (ice princess) Don't ask me why they wanted to dress up on Easter.
Eating a banana all by herself!

Hmmm, what should I eat first?

Jacob's new love. I bought this train table from my friend.
He would play with it night and day if I let him. The first few nights he'd get up in the night looking for his trains. I'd have to put him back to bed. He'd kick and cry when I try to put the kids to bed knowing he can't play until morning, or sad to leave it to go get Kimmie from preschool. It was still a great purchase though. Now I just send him to bed with one of his engine's and I kiss his train, then he kisses it. Then I shut the door and I hear him playing and babbling at it for a few minutes before he falls asleep.
Of course Kimmie likes it too. She fights over it with him--anything Jacob wants, Kimmie wants. Will that ever end?
More Easter at Grandma's

Easter at our house, it started raining just as we went outside so they had to hurry. We were cold and wet when we got inside.

AFTER the Bunny came---
....chocolate is messy, but I love it.
